About The Jamun Grove

A real working farm being built for a 2032 opening in Galiveedu Mandal, Annamayya District, Andhra Pradesh β€” where six private villas, 150 Neredu (jamun) trees, and a fully integrated zero-waste ecosystem will welcome guests who believe that luxury and sustainability are not opposites.

The Beginning

Why a Farm in Galiveedu?

Galiveedu Mandal sits at 403 metres in the warm, semi-arid Rayalaseema region β€” known for its harsh climate, rocky soil, and stubborn spirit. It is also, if you know where to look, extraordinarily beautiful. The land that would become The Jamun Grove was purchased in 2018 when it was little more than 1.5 dry acres with a seasonal stream.

The Neredu (jamun) tree was chosen deliberately. Hardy in drought conditions, native to Andhra Pradesh, deeply medicinal, and commercially valuable during its June–August harvest window β€” 150 saplings went in the ground that first monsoon season.

What followed was not a plan so much as a philosophy: every system on this land should feed the next one. Kitchen waste feeds the biogas plant. Biogas slurry feeds the vermicompost. Vermicompost feeds the greenhouse. The greenhouse feeds the food court. And the food court feeds our guests.

The Orchard

150 mature Neredu (jamun) trees, averaging 8–12m canopy height. Harvest season: June to August. Zero trees cleared for construction β€” all 6 villas built around them.

Veligallu Reservoir

The Veligallu Dam Reservoir (Papagni River) is 200m from our villa cluster. Visible from all six Perch towers. A 40-year struggle finally completed in 2007 β€” it now irrigates Galiveedu and 23 surrounding mandals.

Rayalaseema Horticulture Hub

Annamayya District is part of the AP government's β‚Ή30,000 crore Rayalaseema Global Horticulture Hub β€” a national initiative to transform 303 mandals into India's premier horticulture zone. The Jamun Grove is a working demonstration of what this region is becoming.

Honest Progress

Building The Jamun Grove β€” Phase by Phase

We're building sustainably β€” one villa at a time, using each phase's revenue to fund the next.

Phase 1

The Foundation

In Progress
  • ✦Venu (Bamboo Villa) β€” first to open
  • ✦Mati (Earthen Villa) β€” lowest-cost, most authentic
  • ✦Farm infrastructure already operational (biogas, vermicompost, greenhouse, ponds)
  • ✦Farm Food Court and Supermarket soft launch
  • ✦Target: First guests by early 2026
Phase 2

The Orchard Expands

Planned
  • ✦Prakriti (Biophilic Villa) β€” jamun tree through the courtyard
  • ✦Jamun (Orchard Heart Villa) β€” the property's signature stay
  • ✦The Perch towers for all 4 operational villas
  • ✦Farm Food Court fully open to external visitors
  • ✦Target: Late 2026
Phase 3

The Complete Grove

Planned
  • ✦Jalavaas (Pond Villa) β€” floating deck, bioluminescent ponds
  • ✦Surya (Glasshouse Villa) β€” east-west glass, live solar dashboard
  • ✦Full Hexagonal Trail operational across all 6 villas
  • ✦AP Tourism registration and capital subsidy application
  • ✦Target: 2027

We build slowly and sustainably. Every villa is certified by a licensed local structural engineer before first guest check-in. No villa opens without formal sign-off on structure, electrical, fire safety, and plumbing.
